Profile

I’m a senior full stack developer with almost 20 years of experience in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, product strategy and market validation.

I am most useful when priorities change or a problem does not fit neatly inside one role. Managers often turn to me to test assumptions about what to build or work through technical problems without obvious answers, while I remain hands-on with architecture and code.

Recently, I founded and sold an AI invoicing product and built a production RAG system that processed thousands of mining-related documents each day.

Experience

Senior Software Engineer

YLD Agency (2025 - 2026)

  • Joined on a short fixed-term contract to cover an employee’s sabbatical and contribute to an open-source platform for coordination among Parkinson’s disease researchers: ASAP Hub.
  • Implemented webhook pipelines with AWS EventBridge, SQS, and Lambda to index data in OpenSearch and defined OpenSearch aggregation and query-boosting strategies for data retrieval.
  • Led the React 18 migration of a six-year-old monorepo with multiple applications and shared packages. This meant updating more than 10,000 tests under a 99.99% test-coverage requirement.
  • Resolved React 18 compatibility issues involving React Router, React Testing Library, linters, libraries, and bundlers.
  • Planned and coordinated this migration with developers and management so feature delivery could continue throughout the work.

Tech Lead

Digbee (2019 - 2025)

  • Designed Digbee’s AWS infrastructure and led a three-person development team through the adoption of Docker, multi-server CI/CD pipelines, and automated releases with GitHub Actions.
  • Established unit, end-to-end, and manual testing practices and added pre-deployment database checks. Set up centralized logs, monitoring, and alerts to track issues in production.
  • Designed, built and maintained the document-ingestion system behind the company’s main revenue-generating product. It processed thousands of mining ESG documents each day using OpenAI embeddings, vector stores, S3, and structured LLM outputs.
  • Built cloud systems for PDF and image generation, background job queues, embeddable widgets and UI component libraries.

Founder

Entrepreneurial Projects (2024 - 2026)

  • Built Adviara: invoicing software for the Andorran accounting market that used Qwen open-weight models on private infrastructure to recognize and track invoices, purchase receipts, reports, and other documents.
  • Sold Adviara in March 2026. The product remains in use by accountants in Andorra to manage their clients.
  • Built TukiDocs, a document-processing system that used configurable templates, image recognition, and structured OpenAI outputs to turn IDs, invoices, passports, and other documents into standardized records. The project has been discontinued.

Senior Full-Stack Developer

Various Companies (2012 - 2019)

  • At SENSU K.K. in Japan I built a Google Drive-like product for professional photographers and managed its AWS infrastructure. Virtualization kept its complex React animations running at 60FPS. See what the product looked like at the time (recorded from the web browser).
  • Served as technical lead during Flowics’ startup phase. Designed a WYSIWYG web builder that let nontechnical users create responsive websites, including its drag-and-drop and data-visualization systems. See what the product looked like at the time.
  • Developed core front-end interactions during Mural’s early product development, including element rotation, rich-text editing, board scaling and zooming, and physics-based behavior before JavaScript libraries existed for those problems. See what the product looked like at the time.

Software Developer

Enterprise Companies (2007 - 2012)

Notable positions at Network Solutions and Globant developing cross-browser JavaScript applications.
